Whole Wheat Sourdough Pancakes


Ingredients:


1 cup sourdough discard

1 1/2 cups whole milk

1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

3/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons molasses

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

2 eggs

3 tablespoons melted butter

Extra butter for the pan


Method:


In the evening before bed, add the sourdough discard, milk, flour and salt to a medium bowl. Whisk until smooth and cover. Let it sit on the counter overnight.

In the morning add the eggs, baking soda, molasses and melted butter to the mixture. Mix until smooth.

Cook over medium heat on a well buttered griddle until golden on the underside and bubbly on top. Flip and cook another 15 seconds on the second side.

Enjoy with butter, cream and syrup!
